It's still quite hard to believe that I really
met those guys. Our kids
really played together. I saw
Dee's projects in REAL life (they're even better in person). There was a tiny bit of shyness to begin with, and it wore off so quickly, over deliciously brewed coffee and some extremely yummo baking.
The weirdest part of all was how
at home I felt. Maybe it was because Dee was such a relaxed (and yet attentive) hostess. Perhaps it was because we already knew so much about each others lives, conversation came naturally. We talked and talked about all the usual stuff; babies, crafting, op shopping, childbirth, making money out of crafting... and so on. I loved listening to their stories (found out some stuff I
didn't know about living in Korea), and hounded them all for baby advice.
I do wish they all lived closer. What a constant source of inspiration and encouragement they would be! Lucky we still have blogging right? All I can say is that if you are thinking of doing a meet and greet with some of your blogger friends, DO IT! They are just as nice in real life as they are online! If you don't believe me, look at the goody bags Dee made us all! I mean,
we were staying with
her, we should have been supplying
her with goodies, not the other way round! Still, I'm not complaining...
I'm very excited about this doll. I have a few ideas already. Don't you think this would make an excellent gift for a creative kiddy? A few fabric markers, maybe a scrap or two of fabric, and hours of creative play. Maybe Dee will take commissions...
I left with one other memento... This charming tattoo by the lovely
Otto. Who could resist those beautiful big blue eyes?!
It looks like you had an absolutely amazing time. Just a wee bit jealous! :)
