I only just purchased my first couple of rolls of washi tape after seeing it around blogland for so long. This is a lovely idea for enjoying both the pretty patterns of the tape and recent snapshots of life.x
Is washi tape safe for painted surfaces? Is it maybe a fancy version of masking tape? I've just been given some gorgeous black and pink floral washi that would be perfect for this project but am a bit afraid for the rented walls...
I'm no expert, but washi tape seems to be a LOT less sticky than any other tape I've come across. It peels off as though it's never been there. I guess I'll have to see what happens to it over a long period of time, but I feel pretty safe that it will come off without doing any damage. We're renting too, so I really hope so!
Hee hee! This is gorgeous :) Did you know I've 'framed' that drawing you did of Isla in the same way, and the little teeny balloons and zebra you sent one time too. I love washi tape!
I was just about to ask the same thing - we have old paint on our rented walls, so I'm a bit nervous too. Might need to try it out on a hard to see spot first..
These look great! I have a friend who recently started a business selling washi tape online (http://www.washinz.co.nz/) and I keep meaning to buy a couple of rolls to attach a couple of pics and postcards to my wall - glad to hear that it's not that tacky as we are renting too! Jenny x

Hey! I blog about tips for displaying printed instagram photos. I often look around to find cool and different ways to display photos so I can blog about it. The idea that you have got here is awesome, thank you for sharing and thank you for the inspiration!
