Regardless of the weather, when cabin fever becomes too severe we head straight down to the beach. We lucked out this one time, the rain fell away quite soon after we left the house, and then it was all rainbows and sunsets and molten gold.
I know we live in the 'winterless' north, but there's nothing much to relish about a muddy, drizzly, overcast northland winter. Like, a lot of mud, and lashings of drear. Rain walks are absolutely one of our favourite ways to get around the winter glooms, especially if we are at the beach where there is... no mud! A hot bath and some stories back home round it all off perfectly.
I've been resorting to a few tried and true winter sanity savers. I have my favourites. What are yours?
